SNMA Gives Back To the Community

Following the successful Taste Of Culture event, SNMA proceeded to donate a portion of the proceeds from the event to the George K. Arthur Community Center located on 2056 Genesse St. Members collected school materials and art supplies for the children.
HELP US FIGHT BACK!!!!!!!

SNMA backs it's member Micheal Williams up in his quest to raise awareness as well as fight back for those who have cancer. We need your help!!

This year, over 1.4 million Americans will hear the words "You have cancer". I know too many people who are touched by cancer, and that is why I have joined the American Cancer Society on a mission to save lives and create a world with more birthdays by participating in the Relay For Life in my community.

At Relay For Life we celebrate loved ones who have won their battle against cancer, remember those who are no longer with us, and fight back against this disease that touches so many. I am determined to make a difference, and I hope you will join me. I will be walking on April 20th 2012, 6pm-6am @ alumni arena.

Please, support me in my efforts by using the link below to visit my personal web page and make a donation. Every dollar raised brings us one dollar closer to a cure, and to a time when the number of people who have to hear the words "you have cancer" is zero.

Thank you so much for your support. Together, we ARE saving lives and creating a world with more birthdays!

DOCTORS

The 2nd annual Doctors Back to School event is taking place on Wednesday May 2nd from 12:30 P.M-2:30 P.M. at the Health Sciences Charter School located at 1140 Ellicott Street.  It's a joint AMA/SNMA event that has medical students interact with minority high school students and encourages them to consider medicine as a field. All are encouraged to sign up and participate. Furthermore, it would be great if all current SNMA members are able to attend this event and help  in either (1) helping students listen to heart and lungs, (2) showing them what we look for when performing a neurological/ physical exam or (3) showing them how to suture.Through out these interactions we would  be telling them of how we accomplished our dream of being the medical students we are today!!
Please RSVP with the link below and if there are any questions please feel free to contact Mike Williams at mw67@buffalo.edu
